Solomon Kifle

Solomon Kifle graduated from the Alle School of Fine Art and Design in 2017. Since then he has worked professionally as a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on painting. However, Kifle also works with video art, installation and mixed media. Kifle says that his work is driven by the situations happening around the world and is influenced by movies and music perceived through various contexts and lenses; political, social or philosophical. Kifle says “I consider being an artist could leverage power and opportunity as art itself helps compare events in the past and present and could help forge our path to the future. I take advantage of globalization to broaden my horizon and see politics and social lives beyond my own country which further enrich my perspective in the arts.”
Recent exhibition was in October 30,2020, at Aliance Ethio-Francis
Title - Refraction ,which I was part of a residency program organized by contemporary nights.
November 7, 2020 another group exhibition at Italian cultural institute by the title ‘’Feelings along the side walk ‘’
2018, February at Guramyne art center Addis Ababa ,by the title ‘’on movement,‘’ a group exhibition that I did two years after my graduation ,which was very inspiring and did it with artist from Europe and USA.
